I know I've been neglecting my blog lately, and with several shoots I have coming up I'm hoping to start utilizing it more :) Anywho.. I wanted to take a minute to just thank you (yes, you!)

What does this mean? It means I can't even begin to thank all the people that have helped me in starting my business. Without all the people who have hired me to photograph them, whether it be their kids in the Father's Day Mini Shoots, the seniors who entered the Senior Photo Contest, the brides who had me shoot their weddings or receptions, family events, school events, etc.. I would not be where I am now and at the level I'm at now in my photography career.

Everyone has to start somewhere and everyone has to have someone who gives them a place to begin. Without all the wonderful people who've given me the opportunity to photograph their special events in their lives, I wouldn't have been able to get my business going. This even includes the people who have simply "liked" my photography page on Facebook. You've spread the word about my business and have broadened the amount of people who can discover me and my work.

 I know I have a lot of learning and growing to do in my work, my style and my business skills but without you giving me a chance and allowing me to work for you, I would never be able to learn and to grow as a photographer. Like I said, everyone has to start somewhere.

So, basically, I just wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone who has given me a chance and everyone who may give me a chance in the future. There is no doubt in my mind that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life, and without all of you it would never be possible.

Blairsville high school sure has been busy! only days after prom came the Middle-High School Spring Choral Concert, directed by Mr. Sean Cogan, Blairsville's new choral director. The kids did a fantastic job!






Congratulations to Denise & Jerry on getting married today! :) They had a small, courthouse wedding today in Indiana, Pa with a few photos to follow after. I was very flattered when Denise contacted me last week asking if I would capture their special day :) Their saying of the day was "It's a wonderful life" and we made sure that we got a photo in front of the Jimmy Stewart statue outside the courthouse. tonight the moon was looking extra creepy! which makes for some awesome pictures, until it starts moving so fast i can barely get my settings right before it's in a completely different spot! haha, oh well.. that's nature for you. here's just a couple of shots that I was able to get in the few minutes I could see it :)

I love spring and summer and my summer is already filling up fast! Booked 2 senior portrait shoots today for June hopefully with more to come! :) Thursday I'm shooting a small wedding in Indiana and Friday is Blairsville Prom! :) Can't wait to share photos with all of you this weekend!

there isn't much that makes me happier than learning new tricks and things on photoshop. yesterday, i sat down at my laptop and photoshop and taught myself how to add textures and whatnot to my photos. i'm not the best at it yet, but with some practice i think i can do some really cool things to my photographs in the near future! adding these types of edits to my photos will not cost the client any extra, it's just a little bonus :)
